Summer's Here

Can you beleive that we are pretty much half way through the year and the summer solstice will be upon us and the darker evenings begin!!!   Not to worry about that though, the lack of a running partner really has begun to cause me some concern. Whilst I have managed to get out occasionally with Neale, grateful as I am, it just doesn't stack up when compared to another similarly paced athlete. Despite my prolongued injury, Andy also managed to do a mischief to his calf. Following his recent trip as physio' to the UK athletics team to Mexico for the world walking champs', he had a 10 hour flight back to Wales resulting in a DVT. This left him un-able to run and (according to his better half) a real misery.  I managed a cracking, run on Sunday with Gary and Eddie over the Carneddau and it was so good to be out there again on the hills. The route saw us take in the peak of y Drum and then via the resevoirs back to the obvious cafe at Abergwyngregyn.  Monday, saw me welcome Andy to our house and again we managed a pleasing run from LLysfaen via maiden's leap to the castle at Gwrych near Abergele. We were both pleased to be out and running together and now I just hope we can get back into a routine of runs that allow me to get back into some sort of form.
