Banished To Bangor
Its been over two months since I have posted an update on here but things have been happening and I have had lots of decisions to make. I suppose the most exciting news for me has no doubt been my being privileged to achieve a place at Bangor University to study sports science. And yes you have read correctly. Having applied late last year, I was almost resigned to the fact that I was expecting too much to be accepted, but, to my utter amazement this wasn't the case. To cap it all, my offer was un-conditional! So now it is the calm before the storm. Having never been at all academically minded, I am certain that I will find the course very, very demanding but in a strange way I am looking forward to the challenge. The fact that I am friendly with many of the under-graduates on the sports science course, I am sure will help but nevertheless it is a daunting prospect. My other half is also making changes with a return to the police service, a career that had been cut short some 17 years ago.....and I think I've got some challenges ahead. As for my running, well, injuries have prevailed for me at the moment, but, hopefully we are getting there. The planned races for the year a fast approaching but the less said the better. I'm looking forward to marathon training which starts next month and then the two international mountain running events we have decided to attempt....well, breif I am afraid but so much to do!
