Well long time no see again....Have you noticed that the nights seem to be drawing - in literally on a daily basis. This has seen me have to re-plan the training regime in the hope that I can keep the mileage up but also be save during the dark hours.
Ive not run a single stride in over two weeks after suffering injury again following the cross country at Colwyn Bay. Despite this I have manged to keep the fitness up with a return to the infamous concept 2 in the gym. God, that piece of macinery is more like a torture device than a gym device but it really helps the cardiovascular and the upper body strength. I managed a total of 25000 metres last week and boy am I paying this...
Well, another suprise was to have Neale put a form on my desk this week saying that I had a confirmed entry in the Flora London Marathon in April. I didn't even know that he'd put an entry in for me but strangely, now that its here I am looking forward to it. Following this injury hit season, I think it has helped me to remain focussed and given me something alternative to look at. But the best news of all, would have to be my 2nd Welsh masters vest for the international at Swansea next month. I must admit that I was feeling a little doubtful at being selected but the 'phone call came today from the selectors and I am going.....yippeeeeeeee!!!!
