Well, what a week I've had on the bike. I've managed a ride out every single day and two with Em. In addition to this I've cut down in the Gym and then run in the afternoon. The transformation in my ongoing injury has been quite dramatic and I am over the moon. Since last Saturday I have ridden a total of 220+ miles and run about 50 odd miles as well without the discomfort that I have had over the past 6 months that my hip has been poor.
I am very excited about the bike though, it is quite addictive and I have already found myself stopping the watch after every ride although Neale tells me that this might not be the best thing to do whilst I am recovering. What I found quite funny was running immediately after the bike and my legs felt that they were going in two separate directions....
To cap the week off, I've been asked to run for North Wales again so there is hope for me yet..I can only hope that this improvement continues to enable me to do the Great Welsh run in a respectable time and then look forward to the Welsh 10k championships in Caernarfon next month and then......cross country in September! Where on earth has this year gone? Anyway, that's it for the time being....PS I make no exceptions for the photo as I've not yet got one of me on the bike, so I thought you'd love to see a picture of my beautiful Lo Lo instead!!!!
