I'd spoken to Helen earlier in the week and we discussed a potential trip out on the bikes this weekend. The phone call came late on Friday evening and we made our arrangements to meet at LLandudno Junction the following morning for a long run out to Betws y Coed...I arrived, late as usual and the girls were waiting patiently. I was knackered before we left as I'd left my sunglasses behind and had to rush back to get them and meet the girls for 9-30...We rode out from LLandudno Junction back to Abergele and then took the long road up to Llangernyw and on to LLanrwst, having passed Ian Smiler and Graham as they travelled in the opposite direction on their jolly! When we arrived at Betws we decided to stop for a 'ladies' break only to see the lads had decided that they would fore go their long run for the sake of tea and cakes at the cafe! Not us though, ever the committed we took a route back via Trefriw, Rowen, Henryd and Conwy where we peeled off and waved good bye to Helen. I persuaded Vicki to take a steep route back via Bryn y Maen. I got home after about 4 hours in the saddle, over the moon with my efforts. I felt good, nothing hurt and the odometer was showing over 70 miles!
