Did a 11 miler yesterday to try and build on a bit of stamina to take me through the pain threshold! Ive put in an entry for the Village Bakeries Half Marathon at the end of January so I need to build up the distances over the closed season. I went out in a new pair of Asics DS's and whilst they were very very light, they proved to be a little small so back to the supplier with them!
Neale appeared with the brown dog at several points during my run just in case I needed a change of shoes but I persevered with them and manged to get home OK. My legs obviously paid the price though because when I did try to walk down the steps to my kitchen my thighs were absolutely killing.....Neale came to the rescue with a full bath of water with some relaxations salts in which all helped release the muscles.
Had an email from Jacqui at Welsh Athletics yesterday asking me to run on the 25th November at Leeds, this would be my fourth Welsh vest of the season, so to say that I'm proud would be an understatement!
Nice to see Neale back in training.....well, I say training, he's just trying to recover a little fitness at the moment in between sessions with the chiropractor trying to release his back...He's eager to get back out on Sunday to get his trigger finger working taking the photo's!
