Received another letter this morning from Jacqueline Brace, asking me to run for Wales again at the inter country 10k championships @ Chichester. I can't believe that they want me again! They've also picked Tracey Morris so it's even more of an honour for me and I can't wait to meet her. I've now got to stay focussed until then but despite having been there before I'll be as nervous as anything!
I've decided to drop the Flintshire 10k the week before the Chichester race in case I over do the race mileage. I have however promised to do the cross country on the 29th September for Colwyn Bay its a 5k course so I can use it as preparation.
Had a great write up in the North Wales Weekly News tonight, it does make me feel good even if a little embarrassed. Even my hairdresser said she was fed up of seeing my name recently. Now I'm going to have a relaxing day or two before the Anglesey 10k at Mona on Sunday, I heard that the course is quite quick if a little boring. I'm going to get to grips with a race watch so I can check my km times. (I don't know why but everyone else does, so why not?)
One last very important date for this Sunday....Neale and I are going to collect our successor to Richie 'The Brown Dog'...Ritchie MK II.......I'll post a picture as soon as I get him.....Watch this space!
