Travelled down to Stoke on Trent yesterday to 'Sub-4' for a bio-mechanical appraisal of my body. The company is run by Clifton Bradeley an ex-athlete of some merit who has set up a facility to analyse all aspects of your body relative to your sport. In particular, he leans towards the serious competitive athlete and his walls are adorned with pictures of Olympic superstars and premier league footballers. The appraisal takes approximately four hours and during this time measurements of your legs are taken and you are filmed on treadmills.
Once competed, the appraisal makes recommendations and observations which are very interesting and highly beneficial. Indeed, I discovered that , I had one leg shorter than the other, I carried compensating injuries and also that the shoes that I have been using for the past two seasons are completely wrong for my style of running.
It was a very productive afternoon and I highly recommend Clifton and his set up. The only problem was the distance, I was due out on a training run with NWRR at 7 and I didn't get back til' 7-15 meaning I had to play catch up with the pack...All good fun...
Oh no!!!just remembered only three days to go to Ras Fawr LLanddoged...the hills...the hills.....
