Not a lot to put here again this week as I attempt to regain my fitness levels for the first race of the Spring. I've managed another 4 runs in the past 7 days and even managed to get out with Suzanne and Neale (Neale managed a PB again this week for 10k of 44Min's 20 secs) on a run around Conwy and back. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how much than Suzanne had picked up her pace and I enjoyed a great training run with her! Neale struggled a little though, I could tell after about 2 k that his breathing was very heavy and although he managed to do the initial circuit of Conwy, he had to peel off and didn't do the extra 3 k.
Suzanne has been running in her lunch hour's at work on the running machine and it has obviously paid dividend's for her, seeing her pick up her pace was a real treat.
My injury seems to be taking longer than I expected to clear but at least now it doesn't prevent me from running, it merely ensures that I have to be careful in how hard that I train. If it hadn't been for the cross trainer, I really do not know what I would do, I'm sure that I would crack up through boredom. I've managed a couple of alternative routes and Neale and I measured a cracking 10k route which circles the village but results in a 2 mile incline to the finish. Not every one's cup of tea but it really will set me up on the stamina side.
I seem to be seeing Andrea (Roberts) of Eryri Harriers training everywhere at the moment, I often see her on the prom' at Rhos on Sea. She seems quite effortless in her running and I always think that she seems to run really well.
I've had a letter from Paul Brooks at North Wales Athletics asking if I will run for the region in June in an inter counties match 10k. I was really pleased because what with all the problems I've had at the beginning of the season, it makes me realise that all it not lost. I just want to get back on form now and realise my ambitions for 2008. The main season seems to be approaching very quickly at the moment and the clocks go back next week giving more daylight hours for training sessions! As for my next race, I really don't know. I suppose I should be considering the Chirk 10k but unfortunately, it's on the same day as the Border League race and Arwel (Eryri) has asked that I run for them...I'm really not sure what to do.

Hi Tammy! Just found your site from Facebook :) You should run for Eryri in the Borders, but I may be biased ha ha. Actually, you know it may be possible to do both as Chirk starts at 9! Hope the training going well, hwyl from Dave, and hi to Neale!
