Oliver Does Sport Relief

I was so proud today to see my nephew Oliver Jaap complete the Sports Relief mile at the track at Colwyn Bay Athletics Club Erias Park. Along with a crowd of approximately 500 others including mums and dads, Oliver looked so nervous as he waited to warm up alongside the other wannabee Paula Radcliffe's in North Wales.
Despite looking absolutely petrified, he took off at a really steady pace and ran so well I was very impressed. Every time he came to the start / finish line he had a huge smile on his face. His running style was to be seen to be believed, he ran like an Ethiopian! Long strides, small movements and good breathing. I think I'm going to get him to train me........Anyway, he came home in 2nd place to a lad about 4 years older than him....I was so proud that I began to well up! All I've got to do now is to persuade him to take up running because I'm sure he will do well if he does...

Well done Ollie we're proud of you!
