I was staggered to recieve yet another email today from Welsh athletics asking me to represent them again over 10k. I will be joined this time by Tracey Morris and Emma Parry from Wrexham which will be absolutely great and for the first time I am absolutely looking forward to it.
I understand from Jaqui that the route is flat and should be consistent with fast times, which is great because it will be my last 10k (save for Barcelona) of the year, before I alter my regime to train for half marathon distance.
I cannot beleive that this will be my third Welsh vest in as many months and I know that I will never be any less proud to put it on no matter how many times I am asked.
This weekend see's another round of the North Staffs' Cross Country League to be held at Stafford Common. Im feeling quite strong at the moment so Im really going to try for my first win. Russell says that the course is a little boring but nevertheless I am sure that I'll enjoy it. The only concern is that it will be the morning after the night before .....we're all going to Venue Cymru as I have been short-listed for most improved athlete in the North Wales Sports Awards 2007. I am so pleased to have been considered Im just not looking forward to 'And the winner is......>!
