Living It Up In Leeds

I feel like a real international athlete at the moment....Belfast last weekend, Leeds this weekend, Cardiff in a couple of weeks etc etc. Got to the hotel by about 2 pm closely followed by a phone call from Emma Parry saying that she and Steve had got lost somewhere in Leeds! They stayed lost for about and hour before finally arriving. We went out for a nice Latte and a couple of blueberry muffins because Neale said that this was power food and that it was a good idea. We had a team dinner at TJ Friday's next to the hotel and it was great to meet up with Dinah again as I hadn't spoken to her since Chichester.

Sunday morning saw us take to the streets of Leeds along with about 5 thousand others for the annual Abbey 10k dash. I was pleased with my race and took a nice steady pace to help secure 2nd position for the ladies team and 3rd V35 for me! The men went one better securing a win in the match and a couple of PB's. Emma (The Chip) Parry was also over the moon to be one of those to also achieve a PB.

Looking forward now to a couple of weeks off racing before the next cross country and the Helena Tipping 10k in Wrexham next month...
