A Real Challenge At Chichester

I knew after the 7 hour journey down to the south coast to Chichester that this weekend had a few surprises in store. Neale and I decided that it might be better to travel on Friday, leaving us Saturday to rest before the race on Sunday. The hotel was absolutely great and I was introduced to my team mates Gemma, Deena and Anna none of who I'd met before over a great meal in the restaurant. The race HQ was good as well with an area to warm up and relax before going across to the start about 200 mts away. It was very, very warm and the course very flat. I found it very hard going, and towards the end I think that the 7 races in 7 weeks began to catch up with me. I crossed the line in 38mins 15secs. I've decided to take every one's advice and have a rest for a week or two save for maybe a 5k cross country or two! In any case Im going to make sure that I take it easy to save myself for the Abergele 5 and the Preston 10 mile next month.
