Contrary to belief, cross country events can be run in pleasant conditions. The first round for the 2007/8 season was held at Eirias Park at Colwyn Bay in what only can be described as Summer ! I fulfilled my promise to Russell and Vicky at Colwyn Bay Running club to compete for them and was quite surprised at both the size and quality of the ladies field. Emma Parry, Sarah Kleeman and Caroline Harney all put in appearances and I must admit I was a little apprehensive (as ever) at the start. Despite finding myself dropped at the start I set about the game of catch up and came home 3rd to Caroline and Sarah, both who ran good races. I was very very pleased with the result and I am actually looking forward to the next round.....
