Smile...it's the Summer!

With a relaxing weekend under my belt spent in the beautiful surroundings of Shell Island, I fee both relaxed and able to move on with my training. Neale and I have spoken at length about the options open to me now that I have come to terms with the disappointment of the not knowing about the commonwealth selection. We have put together a small race plan which includes a couple of half's down south and of course the Snowdon race which, seems to have come around oh so quickly this year. Once I have incorporated these into my regime, I will focus on the Snowdon marathon in October which, due to injury, I was unable to compete in last time around.  Despite the up-in-the air nature of my selection, I am also going to press on with my training for the ultra and I feel that I am further ahead than I was prior to the event at Speech house in  May. A few speed sessions have helped enormously and I am surprised at how they help because I have always been very sceptical that they are of benefit to me personally. So from low point to positive in a week! I am looking forward to racing in new locations and hopefully will also be travelling further afield to new exciting venue's in our new acquisition (sorry couldn't resist a picture!)  The sun is out folks and the summer has three months to run. Happy running to you.....
