A Full Season!

Yep, a full season of cross country races for the first time since I started to compete....I promised Neale that if I could complete a full season of cross country races without injury, then it would be the best present, better than any medal...well almost! Oswestry, was the final round and now we end the season on a real high. I improved consistently throughout the season and this was topped off with no less than 5 medals to take home at the awards cermony afterwards. I feel like the preverbial pot hunter and the tally has continued to rise. It was so difficult though not to top the weekend off with a run in the annual Nick Beer memorial race at Llandudno. Held by my own club North Wales Road Runners, the event this year attracted the best part of 600 runners, a record for the race. I would have loved to have run, but being ever loyal to the regime that andy has set for me, I instead chose to do a 16 miler around the hills in Llangernyw. It was one of the best runs that I have ever done, I enjoyed every mile of it, hard as it was. So now what for the new season. Well, really, I need to get my confidence back. At the moment I really am struggling to regain confidence on the road, why, I do not know. There is just something niggling away at me. Not to worry. we'll get there......Happy running!
