Cardiff 10k 2008

Well here we go again, another race report and another V35 trophy to add to my belt! I really worry that those of you who take the trouble to read my blog, may get a little bored with the same old content all of the time. But then, I thought about it and came to the conclusion that a blog is in fact an online diary and meant to help people recall what they were doing maybe a while ago. So I've decided, I am making no apologies and this blog is for me as much as for you. (But I am grateful for you reading it) Thanks Rach' in Spain or Lisa in Florida or so on and so forth!

As for the race report, well another category win and as this race was a qualifying race, it means for selection for the Welsh Master cross country team, I think. So hopefully, we are looking at Welsh Vest no. 6! No travelling abroad this time though, as this years event (on Neale's birthday) is in Swansea! OMG can you believe it?

Neale and I have figured out a new training regime in the run up to the imminent arrival of the cross country season. The fact that I am running in two league's this season, means that I can only benefit from more off road training. With this in mind and also in an attempt to reduce the amount of road mileage, I did 45 minutes at Erias Park at Colwyn Bay. This equated to approximately 4 laps of the park or about 10kms and god did I have to work for it! Fortunately, Erias park is the first venue in the league series so by getting 30-40 miles a week in there for the next couple of weeks can only be a good thing.
